A designer with a social and environmental conscience, Nick is actively involved in community arts and currently vice president of CoastFest Inc. and is responsible for marketing and promotion of an annual 3 day, Music, Arts and Cultural festival.
Traditionally trained in Graphic Design (UK). He has over 20 years industry experience as a professional Graphic Designer and Art Director, both in the UK and in Australia.
After working in design studios in England, and as a freelance designer and illustrator, Nick moved to Sydney in 1987 and became involved in book/magazine publishing and marketing.
In 1992 he was employed as Marketing Art Director for Scholastic Australia, Australia's largest publisher and distributor of Children's literature. He was responsible for introducing computers into the creative department and the training of staff.
During this time, Nick won 2 National Australian Awards for Point of Sale projects, and was 3 times winner of Best Exhibition Stand at the Australian Book Fair, which included design and production of significant multimedia and audiovisual components.
In 1997, Nick designed and produced the award winning Scholastic Australia web site, in conjunction with Nick Texidor, and formed Webbods Pty Ltd.
Nick has experience in high-end image manipulation and creation, audio editing, video editing as well as multi-media authoring, web page creation and Flash work.
With a passion for Community Arts and Development and since working on GOTM.com.au, a site for the Young Aboriginal Community at Kempsey, Nick has focused more on Community based projects and set up the Bean Farm Studio in January 2005.
