The Kempsey Aboriginal Community Site - GOTM.com.au |
|
This pilot project was developed in partnership between the Durri Aboriginal Corporation Medical Service, the Djigay Centre for Excellence in Aboriginal Education in Kempsey, the North Coast Institute of TAFE and the Inspire Foundation.
A great project to work on, that involved working closely with the Aboriginal Community of Kemsey. This project ran in conjunction with a course in digital media at the local TAFE college and incorporated ideas and artwork of the students as well as interested local Youth.
As part of the development process, we attended camp workshops, did on-site training and helped with content creation. The site implemented a content management tool that enabled the youth, service providers and health workers to publish their information, including media players that incorporated photos and audio interviews for the site.
